It’s the last day of April and you can just feel the breeze out of the southwest. This early in the season the wind will tell you what the new day will bring.  A picture perfect blue sky is a reminder that today should be spent outside, far away from the confines of isolation.

Walking through the woods of Hillside Heights, you can see past the stands of birch and balsam that Lake Winnipeg is starting to stir from its winter’s sleep.  The ice is no longer white – rather turning shades of grey as the ice gets thinner.

It’s a day to feel alive and to be thankful to be here.  Nature. Peace. Clean air. It is soothing to the soul to be in such a magnificent setting.

This will be the warmest day of the year so far.  20 celsius with a fresh breeze of 20 km/hour.  No need for layers – just a hat, some sunscreen, and the walking stick that has become my friend during my time here. There are many days like this on the shores of the East Beaches of Lake Winnipeg. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Cul de sac at Hillside Heights

The hilltop cul de sac lots have an amazing view.

Join me here at Hillside Heights.   This is Manitoba’s premiere cottage lot development.  Lake views, the quiet of the forest, and yet close to Victoria, Albert, Grand and Belair beaches where there are lots of activities to engage the senses combined with all the conveniences for comfort.

Today is a day just for me. A 20/20 day. A perfect day.
